Safer Communities Conference 2026: Bringing Wales Together

The Wales Safer Communities Network is hosting the first annual Safer Communities Conference in Cardiff on 12 March 2026, bringing together practitioners and partners from across Wales to collaborate, learn and strengthen community safety work. This year the Network will be focussing on prevention, which will be the golden thread running through all the sessions for this year’s conference.

The event is targeted at members of partner groups including the Wales Community Safety Officers (WaCSO), the All‑Wales ASB Practitioners Group and the Wales Data Analysis Innovation and Improvement Network (WDAIIN), alongside a wide range of other community safety professionals working in Wales.

The programme has been designed to maximise opportunities for networking and informal discussion alongside structured sessions. Two coffee breaks, lunch and an early evening networking slot will create space for connection and collaboration.

• All‑Wales ASB Practitioners group
• Wales Data Analysis Innovation and Improvement Network (WDAIIN)

Afternoon Breakout Sessions

Delegates will choose two of the following three sessions:

• Early resolution, stronger communities – a practitioner workshop on problem solving, dialogue and early resolution approaches
• Extremism and online harms – a panel discussion with Q&A
• Future generations and community safety – a panel discussion with Q&A

This conference marks the beginning of an annual opportunity for community safety professionals across Wales to connect, share learning and influence future priorities.

Further details, including speakers and session leads, will be shared closer to the event.
