Local Place Shaping Seminar

On Tuesday 11 June 2024, 10:00 – 11:30 the Wales Safer Communities Network ran a seminar about Local Place Shaping, focussing on planning, regeneration and transport.

The session was led by Welsh Local Government Association’s Kaarina Ruta and Tim Peppin where they explained a number of different areas including:

• An overview of the 20mph legislation
• Impacts of obstructions on the highway
• A forward look at addressing the dangers of pavement parking
• An introduction to the new road safety strategy
