Preventing Young People Involved in Anti-Social Behaviour from Escalating into Serious Violence and Organised Crime

On Monday 18 July 2022, 11:30 – 13:00, the Wales Safer Communities Network hosted a seminar to support Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) Awareness Week 2022. The seminar explored the approaches being taken across Wales to tackle and reduce ASB involving young people from escalating into Serious Violence and Organised Crime, which is especially relevant in light of the upcoming Serious Violence Duty Guidance.

Jeff Cuthbert, Police and Crime Commissioner for Gwent, and Association of Police and Crime Commissioners (APCC) Local Policing Lead for Anti-Social Behaviour, introduced the seminar as a Keynote Speaker. The seminar was Chaired by Catherine Jones, Torfaen Community Safety Lead and Chair of the All Wales Anti-Social Behaviour Practitioners Network. Presenters included Welsh Government, Dyfed Powys Police’s Goleudy service and INTACT programme, ACE Support Hub, and the Wales Safer Communities Network.
