The Wales Safer Communities Network has announced the dates for this year’s Safer Communities Awareness week. This year the awareness week will be taking place from 16 to 20 September and will be raising awareness of Community Safety with a focus on ‘working together’.
Partnership working is vital to the delivery of community safety initiatives and this year’s Safer Communities Awareness Week is an opportunity to raise the profile of community safety work and highlight some of the innovative work that is taking place.
Started by the Wales Safer Communities Network the first Awareness Week took place in September 2023, which featured a series of ‘lunch and learn’ events and an interview with the then First Minister Mark Drakeford. This September’s events schedule will be announced over the coming weeks and there will also be a toolkit of messaging that partners can use to promote the week on their own channels.
Further details will be announced via the Network’s X (formerly Twitter) and LinkedIn pages and dedicated webpage.
